My favorite is the red lentil. It is sold in the Palestinian supermarket. This is the lentil I use to make Aidias (lentil) soup. I do not use the yellow or green for the traditional adidas soup. This soupd requires lots of cummin….which is good for you.

My second favorite is the back bean, which I use in chili. I make a mean chili.

Lastly I like the brown lentil and use this lentil when I make imjadara (lentil with rice). This dish requires lots of cummin as well.

Cummin is good for you but not sure how good or the benefit.

My favorite beans are Cannellini and Garbanzo. I have a few recipes that call for Fava beans, at the time the only Fava beans I could find were canned. But since then I have found dried ones, anxious to try them. They are really hard to find in the Cincinnati area. But I do like the taste of the Fava`s.
